Officially Part of the IVF Posse

So today was my first official appointment. Yes, I know we’ve already met with the IVF Nurse, and the embryologist; but today’s appointment was my reality, and I knew it had become reality for me because while I was sitting in the waiting room I felt anxious and nauseous. - Sure, it could have been due to the fact that my bladder was full to the point that I was almost crying; but in all honestly, it all became real for me today.
I’m on CD3 - so it meant going in for my first monitored ultrasound. Of course the D3 full bladder ultrasound was the worst thing ever, but once that was over and I relieved myself everything was all good. I also had an internal ultrasound. I have 5 follicles on my left ovary and 7 on my right. My uterine lining is already measuring at a 7.1 (.7) which is really good. I picked up my first round of stimulators, which for me is 300iu of Puregon each evening. 3 days worth cost me $900!!!! On Monday I will purchase another $900s worth!! I had to purchase more Lupron as well. My cycle ran so long this month that the vial is almost empty. It was supposed to last me until retrieval day, but that’s not going to happen.
So there you have it, our IVF cycle has begun. I’m hoping retrieval day will be around April 18-20th, with a bit of luck. *fingers crossed*

Check back later, I’m going to post a video of me doing my first Puregon injection. :/
